Yash’s character in ‘Toxic’ is named Raya; teaser released on the actor’s birthday
In the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Kannada superstar Yash will be seen playing a character named Raya. The makers made this announcement on Thursday, coinciding with the actor’s birthday, and also released a three-minute teaser.
The film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth and is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
Sharing the teaser, KVN Productions wrote on its official handle:
“Take a closer look at your danger—introducing Raya. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, in theaters worldwide on 19-03-2026.”
What the teaser shows
The teaser opens in a graveyard, where a man—possibly the leader of a criminal gang—has gathered with his men to bury his child. The calm atmosphere is suddenly shattered when a car arrives. Yash’s character steps out, walks into the cemetery, and unleashes a hail of bullets on those present.
Earlier, the makers had released first-look posters of Kiara Advani as Nadia and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth. Nayanthara will be seen playing Ganga, while Rukmini Vasanth essays the role of Melissa.
More details about the film
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic also features Akshay Oberoi in a key role. A teaser released last year showed Yash smoking a cigar, stepping out of a luxurious black car, dressed in a crisp white suit and stylish hat, as he enters a pub—the clip ending with him splashing alcohol on a bar dancer.
Toxic is set to clash with Dhurandhar 2 at the box office. Notably, this marks Yash’s first project after the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2, which was released in 2022.
